Opened in July 2018, Hótel Kría is situated in Vík. Among the various facilities are a garden and a bar. There is a restaurant. The black sand beaches begin about 5 minutes' walk from the hotel. Comfy rooms with the most comfortable beds we ever had in a hotel. Nice facilities, very cute little village with a supermarket and gas stations around.

Welcome to Aurora Lodge Hotel, where adventure awaits! Our complex of 8 charming buildings sits right on the banks of the East Rangá River, just a stone's throw from the Icelandic Route 1 (Ring Road)... We booked the Aurora Lodge only a couple of hours before arrival as our plans changed and we needed to find a place quickly. Lucky! The room was very comfortable and assured a good night's sleep after a long drive. We decided not to take advantage of the outdoor hot tub in the evening, which we ended up regretting. Although, the negronis in the cozy lounge bar were not a bad option either. The best part of Aurora Lodge - the breakfast! Delicious porridge and scrambled eggs!
